Hi, I'm Barbara
I began my yoga journey over 35 years ago and have been teaching for over 20. I know the benefits that regular yoga and meditation can bring and I want to share this amazing elixir of life with you.
When I opened the studio in 2017, my vision was to create a safe and tranquil place where people would feel included. A place where everyone could experience and grow through mind-body practices, in a safe, secure, friendly, and non-judgmental environment, inclusive of age, size, gender, race, religion, fitness, ability, diet and lifestyle. I feel I have achieved this, but of course you can decide and discover this for yourselves when you visit the studio.
My classes will not only help with your health and wellbeing, but will empower you to be proactive and take control, to achieve balance in your daily life, to thrive and to find optimum health.
Health and wellness are at the heart of yoga. Yoga is a holistic practice, providing you with the tools and techniques you need to manage and care for our own health and wellbeing. Yoga is listening in and tuning into your body, mind and breath.
With consistent and disciplined practice, you can reach optimal health, thrive and transform your outlook on life. So come and join me and let’s journey and thrive together.
Welcome to the Bhuti Yoga Retreat Studio
In June 2017, I achieved my dream of opening my own yoga studio and The Bhuti Yoga Retreat Studio was born.
I wanted to create a peaceful tranquil space away from the noise and pollution of the City and after searching for almost 5 years I finally found the perfect location and property. The Bhuti Yoga Retreat Studio is situated in the County of Norfolk and set in two acres of land surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. The studio is bright and spacious, and has underfloor heating, ensuring you feel warm and cosy on those chilly winter evenings.
The studio is a nurturing space. It has a calm ambience, encouraging you to relax and restore, to reflect and transform, to connect with mother nature and to live mindfully. It provides you with an opportunity to take time out to reflect, to let go and just ‘be’. The studio doors are opened in the warmer months so you can truly feel a part of nature and spot an abundance of wildlife.
The Bhuti Yoga Retreat Studio is situated on the B1135 approximately 8 miles South of Norwich City centre. It’s a short distance from the A140 and is within easy access to major roads such as the A140, A11, A47.
Being situated just a short distance from Norwich City centre and set in such a serene location, I named the studio The ‘Bhuti’ Retreat, ‘Bhuti’ meaning ‘wellbeing’.
I wanted to find a venue that felt as though you were on a retreat, in the countryside and surrounded by nature. This venue and location ticked all the boxes and was exactly what I had dreamed of. The studio has a very calm atmosphere and energy that lifts your spirit, a place that will encourage you to leave your worries and stresses behind, a place that will nourish and nurture you and will leave you feeling relaxed, energised, and ready to face the challenges that life throws at you.
The studio is equipped with mats and yoga props, but feel free to bring along your own mat should you wish.
Free car parking is available at the venue. On arrival, please park and take the narrow path that is situated to the left of the garage (as you are facing the garage). If you have satnav, the postcode is NR15 2YL. Please note that the studio is not visible from the road. There are two ‘Yoga Studio’ signs either side of the driveway along with two CCTV signs.
I hope to see you here very soon!
